After watching his team cruise to a 44-24 lead at the break, first-year Sharon coach Bruce Jackman was feeling anything but comfortable. He had a feeling Dorchester would make a run in the second half.

Only Jackman didn't know the run would last as long as it did, his third-seeded Eagles sweating out a 75-64 Division 2 South semifinal win last night over seventh-seeded Dorchester in front of a capacity crowd at Braintree High.

"We knew with their talent and quickness that they'd make a game of it," said Jackman. "We got a litle complacent with the big lead. Fortunately we were able to hold them off in the final minutes and come out on top."
