Best-selling author Thomas Moore might be amused to see his rural New Hampshire home called a "soul factory."
But it seems an apt description of the tranquil and exquisitely appointed house where the prolific author of "Care of the Soul" lives and works.
Evocative paintings by his artist wife, Joan Hanley, grace the walls. In the living room, built to include windows on two sides, a Zen meditation bowl sits near a wooden Hindu deity. In the study - "his" room, Moore explains -long windows that gaze on the forested landscape alternate with bookshelves crammed to capacity.
