China's Ministry of Health has approved nearly 2,000 domestic health food products and more than 100 imported ones, according to Brinton Scott of The L&A Law Firm, based in China, speaking at the recent Asia Business Forum conference on marketing nutraceuticals and functional foods in Asia (see also NI vol 4, no 2). More than half the imports come from the USA, he noted.
