LONDON, March 7 Asia Pulse - International TV and marketing group Sportsworld today announced a STG 54 million (US$85.71 million) offer for Sports and Outdoor Media International (SOMI), the company that holds the advertising rights to some of the biggest sporting grounds in Australia and the UK.
Sportsworld Media Group, which originated in Australia but listed in London in 1998, also announced plans for a capital-raising STG 28 million issue of Sportsworld shares.
Its Australian chief executive Geoff Brown said the SOMI acquisition was strategically important to Sportsworld's expansion plans and would help to strengthen relations with sports ...
