Atremendous number of assisted living facilities are being built nationwide, and the industry is growing. Meanwhile, the future role of nursing homes has come under Scrutiny.
The trends are, inter-linked, and they will create opportunities for long term care insurance in the next century.
As you know, nursing homes have been funded for many years largely by Medicare (and Medicaid). One problem with this now is that Medicare is still functioning as a 1965 health care delivery system, while health care is moving into 21st century mode.
