Animal Control Officer Robert Weber of the Warrensburg, Missouri, Police Department was in the vicinity of a traffic stop and drove by to check on the police officer handling the violation. The officer was in his patrol vehicle interviewing the suspect who suddenly produced a knife. A struggle ensued and the police officer was slashed in his throat, face, right hand, and wrist.
