The full-freezing denitration process used in the 40 000 t/a caustic soda unit (200 000 [m.sup.3]/a bittern) of Huaiyin Electrochemical Plant has recently passed technical appraisal. The process has the following features:
(1) full-freezing process: No barium chloride is needed to ensure that sulfate radical in crude brine is lower than 5 g/L (sulfate radical in raw bittern being higher than 12 g/L).
(2) high energy utilization rate: Heat exchange between refined bittern and raw bittern is done before the cooling of 30% finished caustic soda. It can not only save cooling water but also increase the temperature of ...
