Symyx Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:SMMX) today announced that it has acquired an exclusive, worldwide license to a portfolio of patent applications for use in conjunction with Symyx core patents.
The portfolio's focus includes the use of infrared thermal imaging to improve the speed and efficiency of screening and optimizing new catalyst formulations. The technology was developed by Professor Richard C. Willson, III, Ph.D., of the University of Houston, who will consult with Symyx, and licensed from Technology Licensing Company, LLC (TLC).
