HOUSTON -- When Boston Ballet announced it would both stage - and help fund - Ben Stevenson's new version of "Cleopatra," you could practically hear the groans.
Although the Houston Ballet artistic director's last full-length creation, "Dracula," was a box-office boon for Boston Ballet last spring, it was criticized as lacking solid choreography.
Thankfully, "Cleopatra" fares much better.
