After some years of experience and observation, I am of the firm opinion that rabbits are not fed enough green food. I know that some will agree while many will disagree with me on this much discussed point. To make myself clear, I must qualify on two or three points.
First, rabbits cannot be raised on green food alone, especially if it is gathered promiscuously and fed in great quantities. Sad has been the experience of the amateur who tried to raise rabbits without expense by feeding them any old kind of weed, gathered wet or dry and fed to young and old alike. Especially if fed just when the ideas and convenience of owner were right.
