Q: I have shoulder-length, thick hair that is all one length, but I don't know what to do with it. I am not very experimental with putting it up (apart from using a scrunchie at work all day) and if I use hairspray it tends to drop after a while because my hair is so heavy. Should I have layers cut in it or would a perm give it more body? - Anne Staines, Surrey.
AC: It sounds like your hair does need some layers. The secret is not to have too many or to make them too short. You can keep the length and have the sides slightly graduated, which will encourage some ...
