A STATUE of Jesus Christ, sculptured from the melted down weapons of Ulster's decommissioned terrorists, is planned for the outskirts of Newry.
Prime Minister Tony Blair, Secretary of State Mo Mowlam and Eire Premier Bertie Ahern have all voiced their support for the unique plan to erect the 30ft high Prince of Peace statue on the site of the current army lookout post just outside the Co Down border town.
