Scots Industry Minister Gus Macdonald came under attack from all sides yesterday over his dismissal of Ireland's economic success.
In yesterday's Record, he ridiculed the SNP's plan to use Ireland as a "greenprint" for an independent Scotland and claimed:
"Dublin is a great place to go for a stag night - but not for an economic policy."
But yesterday, politicians and economists all turned on the remarks claiming that Mr Macdonald was out of date and that Ireland truly had a tiger economy.
And one even warned that his remarks could rebound ...
