It's a sign of the times when a men's mag such as Maxim holds an awards ceremony to celebrate women only. Of course the women being celebrated were not the sort that live next door but the types that give normal women huge complexes and large therapy bills. Still, the first ever Maxim Woman Of The Year Awards was a surprisingly enjoyable event.
The A List's Jonathan Ross took charge of the proceedings at the swish Park Lane Hotel, and it was evident early on from Mr Ross's colourful language that it wasn't being televised.
