DURING the Sixties it was a rich man's playground, in the following two decades a legendary hideaway for gangsters and wide boys from London's East End.
The Costa del Sol, the 24-carat gold coastline of Spain's Andalusia, earned the nickname Costa del Crime and the glitzy town of Marbella, once the mecca of sheiks and stars, fell into decline.
