WHEN Brookside star Steve Pinder turned his back on Channel 4's flagship soap last year, he had no intention of ever coming back.
After eight years spent eating, sleeping and breathing the role of Max Farnham - the hapless yuppie for whom one woman was never enough, the Blackburn- born actor was more than ready to explore pastures new.
"When you're an actor, doing a soap can be very secure, particularly if you have a family to support," admits the now bearded father- of-two. "And one of the hardest things about acting is if you haven't got any work lined up ...
