Selfridges gave Birmingham a boost yesterday when it revealed it has chosen the revamped Bull Ring for its third store.
The move is a feather in the cap for the city, which has been snubbed by both Harvey Nichols - which rejected it in favour of the North - and John Lewis, which decided to open in Solihull.
Selfridges aims to employ 1,000 full and part-time staff at a four-floor, 200,000 sq ft store at the Bull Ring, bigger than its two-storey shop at Manchester's Trafford Centre.
