After perfecting characters like Waynetta Slob, Perry and Lulu inHarry Enfield And Chums, she has been busy branching out.
Her life probably changed for ever when she pipped Hollywood's own Sigourney Weaver and Kim Basinger for the Best Actress award at the 1997 Cannes Film Festival thanks to her role as the abused wife of an alcoholic in the film Nil By Mouth.
More recently, she's been mixing it with Meryl Street in the film Dancing At Lughnasa, and, in a movie to be released later this spring ...
