SINCE Star Wars smashed its way into box-office history 22 years ago, George Lucas has gained the reputation as the man with the Midas touch.

In the 70s and 80s, he not only produced the three Star Wars sagas, but also the hugely-successful trilogy of Indiana Jones movies.

And even though The Phantom Menace has been given a critical hammering, the first episode of the space soap seems sure to make a lot of money for George and his distributors.

All told, he's responsible for four of the 20 highest-grossing movies in film history.
