US CATALYST DEMAND TO GROW 6.5% ANNUALLY THROUGH THE YEAR 2003

US demand for chemical and petroleum process catalysts is forecast to grow 6.5 percent per year to $3.2 billion in 2003, driven primarily by healthy advances in polymerization and organic synthesis markets and a shift in product mix toward higher-value added products such as metallocenes, precious metals, biocatalysts and various custom catalysts.
