It is one of the coolest tracks of the year. But the fact that Bran Van 3000's Drinking In LA is a hit now is thanks to one thing - a beer advertisement on TV.
Sadly the Canadian outfit's laid back hip-hop sound was all but ignored when it emerged first of all over a year ago. Only a few eagle-eared pundits, including, I must say, the A List's own pair of finely-tuned lugs attached to our esteemed editor Richard Wallace, tipped it for the top.
