AT Easter I took my family to Alton Towers, which we are now convinced should be re-named rip-off valley.
Knowing it was the holiday weekend we set off at 6am to get there for opening, but still had to queue for one and a half hours and paid pounds 56 for a family ticket. We believed that queuing would be minimal after reading about their virtual queuing system.
For our entrance fee we managed only five rides - hardly great value for money. Total queuing time was six hours. Maybe the advertising should be changed from Alton Towers, where the magic never ...
