We must give shelter to desperate refugees
THE first casualty of war is the truth, and by echoing tabloid propaganda, Chris Arnot (Evening Telegraph, April 6) has joined the pro- bombing chorus. He is uncomfortable about it, but can see no alternative.
The Socialist Workers Party, who he seems to dismiss as jumping on some bandwagon, does have an alternative. We are internationalists. We oppose nationalism, Serbian or British, and call for refugees to be allowed to come to Britain if they so wish, not be treated as criminals and denounced in the press, ...
