World Cup winner Tom Moody has bowed out of county cricket after a decade - leaving a game he believes needs radical changes if England are to regain their status as a Test force.
Moody has been one of the most successful overseas players of the 1990s, having amassed 18,086 runs with 54 centuries via one season at Warwickshire and eight with Worcestershire - the last four as captain.
The Western Australia skipper is better qualified than most when he claims that county cricket is not competitive enough to breed international players of the future.
