Stepping out from the shadows of an international chart-topping act to establish your own solo career is not an easy task.

Pop history is littered with those who have tried and failed. For every George Michael there's an Andrew Ridgeley and for every Robbie Williams there's a Howard Donald.

But one man who seems to be making the successful transition is former New Kids On The Block member Jordan Knight, whose debut solo single Give It To You entered the chart at number five last week.
