A Midland family on a round-the-world mercy mission were rescued by a container ship when they became becalmed in the Pacific Ocean.
The Edington family from Shropshire were stuck in the dreaded Doldrums, thousands of miles from land, when their supplies of water and fuel began to run out.
They had been travelling at a rate of just 30 miles a day and had 3,000 miles to travel.
