Water has been the inspiration for many works of art, just ask Canaletto. But it is quite literally the foundation upon which Leamington Spa's new art gallery is built.
The gallery, the second part in a three-phase redevelopment of the famous Pump Rooms, is housed in the vast room which once contained the ladies' hydrotherapy swimming pool and treatment bays.
When it opened a little over a week ago it excited the kind of interest normally reserved for a star-studded film premiere.
