Birmingham's Gas Hall exhibition gallery could soon have a counterpart called the Water Hall if plans unveiled by the city's Museum & Art Gallery are given the go-ahead.
A pounds 1.6 million proposal to convert the city's former water department offices into a large gallery housing the museum's growing 20th century art collection is being considered by the European Regional Development Fund.
