When Steve Hallard left school and sold fruit and veg to get some cash, making sculptures for top Birmingham hotels did not seem like the obvious outcome of his career.

But in the organic way in which things, especially floral things, develop, that is where he has ended up.

Steve and his partner, Joy, now provide the flowers for restaurants like Le Petit Blanc, Bank and Shimla Pinks.

They also have contracts with the Burlington Hotel, the National Indoor Arena, the International Convention Centre and Birmingham Airport, where they prepared the display for the guests ...
