TOKYO, March 22 Asia Pulse - Cosmo Technica Inc. has developed a unit that detects and alerts railway workers to oncoming trains.
The set includes a sensor that detects magnetic-field changes caused by the rotation of a train's wheels, another sensor responding to lights being intercepted by passing trains, equipment that signals a train's passing, and a pager attached to a helmet to alert a worker.
