The organ market may be substantially off from its market peak in the late seventies, but don't underestimate the interest in organ music. When Roland decided to stage its second "Organ Power" concert at NAMM to showcase its line of Atelier Organs, the company decided to sell 1,000 seats to the general public. A three-inch ad in the Los Angeles Times prompted a flood of phone inquiries, and within days the tickets were sold out. "And there isn't even an organ dealer in the Los Angeles market," said Tim Harris, vice-president of Roland Contemporary Keyboard division.
