COMEDIAN Bob Hope had the last laugh last night after it was reported he had died.

The 95-year-old funnyman said: "I'm still here - last time I felt, I was still here," when his death was announced to shocked US congressmen.

The news of Bob's demise - just weeks after Frank Sinatra's death - shot around the world in seconds.

Tributes to the London-born comic started flooding in and the nine telephones at his Californian home did not stop ringing for an hour.
