TAOISEACH Bertie Ahern and Prime Minister Tony Blair last night urged the people of Northern Ireland to "vote `Yes' for your children's future".
Nearly four million people on both sides of the border are entitled to vote in today's referendum.
It is the first time in 80 years that all the people on the island of Ireland have voted on the same issue on the same day.
The 1,175,741 registered voters in Northern Ireland can go to the polls earlier than their southern counterparts.
