SACKED Dundee boss John McCormack last night claimed he was axed after refusing to give in to the board's demands he sign a player they'd picked but he didn't rate.
He also accused Chief Executive Peter Marr of lying about the reasons for the dismissal when he talked to reporters on Sunday.
And McCormack - who has steered Dundee to the top of the First Division - said yesterday: "I was told at a board meeting that I had 24 hours to sign a player they wanted.
