nCheltenham's capacity for producing emotional scenes surfaced yet again when Mark Pitman saddled his first winner at the course with Santabless, then followed up by winning the race run in memory of his great friend Tim Bennett with Mimosa, writes Graham Cunningham.
Pitman was choking back the tears after Mimosa had won the Tim Bennett Memorial Novices' Hurdle, a race run in honour of a young man who died in his sleep aged just 29 in November last year.
