LORD HUNTINGDON is facing a disciplinary inquiry at Jockey Club headquarters in London after Silken Dalliance ran out a controversial winner of the Mail On Sunday Mile Final at Ascot yesterday.

The filly's win in the competitive pounds 45,000 race came just eight days after she failed to make any show in a Newbury race that had experienced race-readers amazed at the lack of official scrutiny.
