AMERICAN country music has many sides to it. The western flavour, while not as pronounced as it once was, still holds to the roots that were so prevalent in the heydays of Gene Autry and Roy Rogers.

Sadly, these two luminaries of the silver screen and the old 78 recordings are no longer with us; Roy bit the dust three months ago, and Gene headed far beyond the sky last weekend.

Gene was 91, Roy a little younger at 86.
