Two dates for anglers to note. Saturday and Sunday, August 8 and 9. That is when Larne and District Game Angling Association is holding its trout fishing classic with a prize list of well over pounds 1,200.

Two heats of the classic will be fished at McCammon's Lake, Mullaghsandall near Larne on the Saturday with the best 30 going forward to the final on the Sunday.

The event will be run on a catch and release basis with two points for a brown trout and one for a rainbow. In the event of a tie weightwise the longest fish will win.
