MORE than half the lottery money allocated to Ulster arts to mark the millennium has already been earmarked for the Ulster Orchestra.
The fund was set up to benefit community art projects, but impoverished groups who work at grass-roots level are only allowed to apply for a maximum of pounds 25,000. The Ulster Orchestra will get more than 10 times that amount.
