At long last, a chance to heal another division
FOR generations Ulster women from both communities have suffered the consequences of an arrogant, self-seeking, male-dominated, party political process, cultivating and exploiting community divisions.
While understandable before the Downing Street Declaration and Mitchell Report progressively supplied a democratic alternative, the main political parties have still neither shown the capacity or inclination to grasp the new opportunity and formulate appropriate cross-community policies.
