Water skiing is a great sport. It is a bit difficult to get from the water and on to the skis but once you're there, it's fantastic. Just standing there on the skis, knees bent slightly, racing across the water.
To try out my skiing, I went all the way up to Lake Bomere, south of Shrewsbury. The nice little kidney-shaped lake is surrounded by trees, which makes it perfect for skiing, since the water is flat most of the time.
I have tried water skiing before on the sea and that was difficult. There were an awful lot of small waves and I had to concentrate ...
