Sir, - I refer to a piece in the Post Digest entitled "Cut-off fears." The piece refers to the number of gas disconnections this year.
I would like to take the opportunity to send out a plea for customers who are having difficulty with paying to contact us.
Of the figures reported for the first quarter of this year, 84 per cent of those were the result of customers not contacting us.
We make nine separate attempts over an average three-month period to contact customers and disconnection is the last resort. Ninety four per cent of those customers ...
