Trustees of The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund have announced the first round of grants to her favourite charities worth pounds 13 million.
But they immediately came under fire from one charity which criticised the fact that eight causes would share pounds 8 million - while just pounds 5 million is to be allocated among 100 more.
The criticism was made by the Parkinson's Disease Society which had the late Princess as its patron until July 1996.
