A SHY Scottish genius has finally been recognised as the real inventor of radio.
Research has shown electrical engineer Alexander Muirhead and physics professor Sir Oliver Lodge made the first-ever transmission 106 years ago.
And that was a year before Marconi, the man who was thought to have invented wireless technology, gave his demonstration and claimed the credit in London.
