LIME PRODUCERS are attempting to rebuild margins after facing flat pricing because of cost competition and overcapacity. The highly competitive market has been trimmed and producers are strengthening their market shares and making their operations more efficient.
The lime industry has slimmed down significantly, and six major producers now account for 76 percent of production.
