Mar. 26--GUADALUPE VALLEY, Baja California--As Victor Torres swished the amber liquid between his teeth, an expression of joy spread across his face.
A French-trained winemaker, Torres knew he had a sweet nectar of exquisite caliber in the making.
Are we talking France here? Maybe Napa Valley?
Neither. Torres is among a new breed of winemakers in the Guadalupe Valley, a pocket of fertile land on the Pacific Ocean side of Mexico's Baja California. The valley is about 50 miles southeast of San Diego.
