SCOTLAND'S biggest teaching union last night pulled back from the brink to avert classroom chaos.
The EIS backed down from a threatened boycott of controversial exam reforms after three hours of talks with Scottish Education Minister Helen Liddell.
The decision to suspend the boycott came 24 just hours after Mrs Liddell warned she was prepared to break the EIS to see the new Higher Still exams go through.
