RACING POST readers have concluded overwhelmingly that the pounds 2 unit stake of the Tote Scoop6 should be halved.

Asked to air their views, readers have responded by

letter, fax and e-mail calling for a reduction in the Scoop6 stake to bring it in line with the National Lottery.

The Tote is standing by the pounds 2 stake, claiming a pounds 1 unit would lead to big syndicates "swamping the pool, leading to fewer smaller players and smaller syndicates winning".
