Mar. 29--FORT WORTH, Texas--When Chris Homan looked out his office window in the Cash America International Inc. building, he saw a tornado bearing down on him and took immediate action.
He dived under his desk.
"Three seconds later, the windows just started to explode," said Mr. Homan, press secretary to U.S. Rep. Kay Granger, R-Fort Worth. "Computers were flying. Office furniture was moving around all over the place. The ceiling collapsed.
"The whole building is destroyed. It's all just glass and rubble."
Several downtown buildings suffered extensive damage from the tornado, although an exact amount of property damage was not known ...
