Imagine giving your students concrete science experiences without using extra class time and without having to purchase extra materials. Parents can benefit from knowing what their children are learning in science class, and students can benefit from one-on-one work with adult coaches. In this article, we present the goals, philosophy, and methods of the SPLASH program and then describe an at-home parental-involvement activity called Moon Watch.
